Death is a silence
death is a silence
that brings
old friends and family together today
to remember our missing friend and loved one
each person grieving in their own way
some through tears
others with laughter
through stories and shared memories
death is a silence
the absence of life
a void that memories will fill
it's a tearful goodbye
that becomes a new beginning everyday
for family and friends
special occasions will have an empty chair
quiet moment of reflection
there won't be time to forget
their name,
their special place in our hearts
their spirit will always live on
