Death In Disguise

Coming in disguise and
In a side by side system.
Never coming in open ways
For if this occure, all shall
Take cover.

It comes in disguise and with
Treasure, leisure, pleasurable and desirable
Things.
If all these abound, many men would be
Fished out by the net of the unpredicted.

Coming in disguise with golden offers
That sows sorrows in the hearts of men.
Coming undercover to spray sad memories,
To make men helpless, hopeless
And even eager for more....
But worry not oh! man,
Smile not oh! death,
For time is come when you
Will be in disguise no more....

============================
For my late father, Patrick Onyilo,
and all my friends who were victimized by death in the
BLOODY Jos crisis.

Such a tender and heartfelt dedication to your father, Charles. The emotion comes through so well in your words. One of the poets here dedicated a poem to you -- think it was Doris C. -- and I hope you have read it. Love, Mum
