Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

Death Came In the Night

i shed these tears of blue knowing
deep down for years you were unhappy
saddled with the bitterness of life
but now your soul has been set free

death came a long lost friend
into the night willingly you followed
you’re in a better place
your soul can now soar free

Thoughts of loved ones who have passed on are bittersweet. Though they are missed, we know they're with Jesus. A great poem. Kindest Regards, Evelyn

I did not write this one about my husband ~ we were very happy together even through the rough times. This poem is actually about a widow I know who was terribly sad ever since she lost her husband.

Knowing they are in a better place eases the pain they left in our broken hearts... A heartfelt write, Line. Sending a virtual hug...
