Death Bringeth Forth Peace
The songs that lead us to peace
are the whispers from the reapers,
who come to soothe us from the sorrows.
The flowers growing in the wild wilts in secret,
the little yellow messengers carried love
from one to another.
The carriers too withered sweating in the sun,
leaving behind the sweet liquor,
the stories of pain were left unheard.
The gods drowned the dreams carried on to the ships.
The wishes left written on the shore
were swept into the ocean by the waves.
Clock kept working day in and day out
without a pause.
Years kept stealing our youth and lustre.
Weight of the past clustered, kept crushing us
closer to the earth second to second,
till we dug ourselves six feet into the ground.
When time finally came to wipe our miseries,
it did not come alone.
The sounds of the last breath swayed us into eternal sleep.
Death took us away from all that was unfinished,
undoing the tangles that made us, freeing us,
carrying us away from life that left us to live, love, and suffer.
