Death Blues

Menachem Schneerson is dead
J.R.R. Tolkien is dead
Alan Watts is dead
All of the great religous theorists and thinkers
will eventually turn to dust
Is there life after death?
Some people think so
Let's hope we see each other
in the sweet bye and bye
The world we live in is full of pain
But the great thinkers can relieve that pain
If only for that brief moment which is life....

Words of wisdom will always linger on, and they can help us through our darker days... I believe that there is some kind of existence after death, where we will find peace and comfort... This poem was very deep and thought-provoking. Very expressive, Matthew!

Buddhists believe that life is pain, just like you said. Are you also a great philosophical thinker? You'll have plenty of time to consider the "after life", enjoy this brief earthly sojourn for now.
