Death Bed Poetry Frank Sinatra
The final note rings out, a stark and simple chime,
no grand crescendo marking end of time.
Just three small words, a whisper, sharp and bare,
a fighter's sigh against the fading air.
Frank, Ol' Blue Eyes, whose voice could mend the night,
who owned the stage with formidable might,
who crooned of love and loss, of triumphs won,
now faces down a battle with no sun.
"I'm losing." Not a plea, nor panicked cry,

no matter fame, or fortune, or our place.
The bravest heart, the voice that soared so high,
at last concedes to what we can't deny.
The final reckoning, unadorned and true,
where every legend finds their breaking through
the illusion of control, the potent sway,
to simply be a soul that ebbs away.
And in that raw confession, stripped of all pretense,
we hear the fragile truth of our defense:
