Death

When he died I saw his soul last Excited to continue its journey on Leaving the body behind Flying above the highest of mountains Or deepest of seas Leaving me behind sobbing I wanted his heart to beat a minute longer So that i could have pleaded to not leave me alone The pain took better of me I asked my soul could you move along It said "no" ,you have to live longer I questioned myself , Is this pain affecting me? My heart was heavy with grief I didn't want to see him dead Alas!this is life's threat Haniyya Khader
