Death
My old friend,
Constant companion
I long for the warmth of your embrace
When shall we return
To ferry my soul home ?
Granting me peace
Rest from my labors
An eternity spent with friends and family
How long must I dwell
Here below ?
None with whom to commune,
I alone
As you walk throughout the world
Touching others,
When shall your fingers
Stroke my face,
Commanding my soul to soar
Far above the earthly restraints,
To dwell among the stars ?
