Death

Humans shy away from the word called death
Because us humans know it's when we take our last breath,
        We cannot control our fate even though we might try
end we all know it will make our loved ones cry,
        We are born and sooner or later we die
When it is sudden we ask God why oh why,
        I don't believe it is for us to question
Even if we feel we have the right for a reason,
        The lesson learned here is that we don't know
Only God can answer that when it is our time to go

I still miss him, but I know that our death here on earth is indeed simply passing to a better life. My poem, "Death's Gentle Sigh" was written about his death. It is always helpful to write about loss or pain, and begins the healing process. All the best to you.
