Death

Hello Death I’m not here to meet you yet The time I hope is not yet set I only have some questions for you When you give your cold embrace Is it for those who fear your face Why do you hug When you kill with drug Do you enjoy pain Are you even sane Do you even look upon those faces that cloths are lain Or is it sorrow that you feel By the body’s do you kneel As their souls you silently steal They say you are grim Do your emotions numb as life you skim As the plant of life you trim? They say a scythe you wield But a scythe is supposed to be in a field As humans use a scythe to save lives with food Do you save lives with your grim mood? By collecting those whose time is come Do you save the others who need not be numb But do people even see you right They never have beheld your sight You are said to be a grim reaper But are you really just a loving keeper Is death really bad Should we be even sad Or should we be glad Because our friends and family will feel peace For their troubles you cease Instead of a cold embrace Which we always want more space Are you just loving and snug Where we don’t feel sorrow’s tug Oh Death You probably don’t care to share These answers of whether you are fair But just know I want you to let me live my full Then you can take my soul When you do slay me then Let it be around family and friend Please don’t have them cry When I die But let them sigh For I lived a good life Let me have ended all my strife Have them laugh in joy For when they are ready come to me Together we will see
