Death

Drifted away
No longer with us
As gone as yesturday
Never to return

How can people live on
knowing death is around the corner
Instead of fearing death, they embrace it
So don't mourn for the dead, for they are lucky

Jessica, There is some wisdom in these words based on the idea that after death we go to a happy place free from earth life's pain and toil. However, along with our souls, if we take our temperament, there may be some pain until perfection has been learned. Oh well. Your poem is thought provoking...deep and enjoyable. Keep writing. Lovingly, Dane
