Death

When time folds its hands And your fingers lay motionless, When the sun gets too weak to rise And your eyes close for you to fall, When the waves forget to roar And your breath is carried by the winds, The touch of the dark dreary death will grip your soul And the dust of the earth will not let you go, You will walk among the dark lights of oblivion And your soul will not be here to light up our hearts, The storms that buried your smiles Will no longer topple your spirit into the unsteady waters. Before time runs up into the opposite direction Stretch out your hands into the nightfall and hold life, Before your eyes witness the darkness that awaits See the lights of love that twinkle in the eyes of others, Before the gales of death swallow your hope Be strong through the storms that come your way, For not even the fires of hell in tempest times Can tear down the gates of heaven in the moments of sorrow.
