Death
Come, look beyond the waters
Their bodies floating ashore
Young as their faces shown
Water washes afloat her hair
Black as the night
And in her hands she held
A locket of gold, engraved
With eternal words, those of love
Says his heart, placed on hers
With this day, that has gone
Along with his words
Under the skies, they cried,
Tears fell, as it rained
Bringing with them, sorrow
For all to mourn
He lay there beside her
Holding her to him,
His eyes shown, a light,
From beyond, a stare
As cold, as the waters,
Their love had lasted,
As long as the candle blown.
