Dearly Beloved

"Stars don't shine, they burn",
so is the twinkle in your eyes.
You, born to sparkle, glisten in life
stand out from the crowd,
predestined pride.
Sheltered from birth,
for not all were meant to witness your soul.
You, of honour and determination,
ambitious with precision,
soar dear child.
May goals align, 'til Kingdom come,
protect your pearls,
passion flows from pure intent.
Remain a child of scrutiny,
"be careful who you happen to"
and last but not least,
go be who you're destined to be.

Izintombi, I really enjoyed reading this poem that you entered into my contest. It did not have the quote number at the top or bottom of your poem so I did not know what quote you were using as a springboard to write your work. Thank you for sharing with me and others. Keep on writing. Sara

Oh, thank you so much Sara :) I actually used all three for inspiration for they all gave me the impression of soaring high, giving off one's best in the world and just feeling free while doing so, I wasn't sure whether I'll be accepted to mention all three but no Biggie. Thank you for the Contest!!! God bless xo
