Dearly Beloved

Dearly Beloved

The hands that cradle and rock little lambs to sheep

With you
The sky is blue
The grass is green

With you, the sun shines in the nighttime

You can say nothing at all
Yet I’m in awe

I bleed for you
I breathe for your love
Your tears break my heart
I fall apart

When my head is wild with grays
I want to see your face
And feel the warmth of your embrace

I need you now ever than before

A firm yet gentle hold of your hand
Gives me assurance that you
will never be too far behind

I’ve cherished those moments
You rocking me
Like a lost soul redeemed

So scared to let go
But it’s your time
I cannot keep you alive

I’ve rarely said this
But I love you
And all that you do
To show me that you do, too

You whose hands
Washed my face
Cloth diaper and sanitary napkin
When my head is wild with grays
I want to see your face

At once I was lacking
Yet I conquered all
With your love
And the sky above

Hold on, they told me
Be strong
If not for you, for her that begotten you
There’s no place I’d rather be
Than under the shield of your safety

With my sunshine
The rain subsides

You rescue me
When I needed saving

If I am of no use
Others can dispute
But with you ,there’s an excuse

Gravity keeps us centered in love

Butterflies
Ocean pearls
And unicorns
Fill our minds

We’re both women and girls in our own way
And twins sisters from different worlds
Life has burdened us with more than
we could ever carry
But we managed to get away
And find our place on the table

My red rose
My budding bloom
My sweet perfume
My forever womb
