Dear Snob

I never walk for fitness Coz I walk for conveyance I don’t run to look cool But I run to get to school I never count my calories I’m lucky just to have a bite I don’t have the luxury of lifts Stairs are all I have for any height I fry my food and eat sugar And it’s not often that I can And I eat salt coz it feels mighty right Remember, I’m lucky just to have a bite You consider me ungodly for being polygamous “Whats the difference?” I ask I have five wives and my children are nineteen You have one wife and your concubines umpteen You think I’m crazy, I say not You say I’m illogical, I think not To you I’m reckless and senseless But I know my life is not a mess Listen to me western native I am different but not inferior My attempt at your language is not fine But have you ever tried mine?

You sure raise some excellent points here John. I traveled a lot when I was younger, but until I did I really had no appreciation for other cultures. People really need to open their eyes. Thanks! Jim
