So difficult at any age to lose a parent :( I was 15 when my dad passed and no material object on earth could compare to the unreplaceable gift of having them in your life! Congrats on your win, Jan! So very touching!

I noticed all but one of the winners are sad and I guess Viv's poem although it was written with humour it was about standing up to bullies. thanks for dropping by Eve:-) hugs Jan xx

Congrats, Jan, I losty my dad when I was twenty one, it hurt, but when Mum died I felt like a stone in a game of ducks and drakes- I bounced a bit then sank, and nobody bothered to look for me. Congrats, a good write x

Oh I really love this Jan. I know of a couple of families who have lost a parent. I know they would forsake all Santa's presents just to have their mummy or daddy back. Good luck with this emotional write.

It's fictional for me but i guess its based on mum losing her 'mummy' when she was just 8 and she's never ever got over it, we talk about her mum almost every day:-( hugs jan xx
