Dear Rosie

Dear Rosie so sweet, no so clue Less I long for the day you grow and you bloom How I wish for your petals to not fall but rise But you are no fool for my pretty little lies. I owe you for nothing and for nothing I owe Longing for a simple smile and a lifeless hello You never see me straight ahead treating me like the dirt for your rose bed. I am no Freesia full of passion and joy I am a Daisy known not to tell of your judgment and sour pollen tube Tell I will when the sun arises Tell I will when you all seem too good to bloom So now your leaves fall as they do I continue to wonder how you grew You smell bad and look Astray with you big stem which don’t stand straight Do not look at me for help when you follow the flow Keep sitting still and be gone You say that makes no sense but I was doing it for years So stand still, be strong and most of all hold on Finally, it is my time I watch your petals fall and mine will arise

Interesting commentary on the development of beauty and how it is not recognised in the beginning and then when it does it can vary in in longevity. Hope you have many more poem left in the tank and you choose to keep posting on the soup. Regards David in NZ
