Dear Pacific

From our front window there was a view
But I often walked to visit with you

From distances far
And steady as the stars

Your huge waves flowed in
As massive tides blown by the wind

I miss the beauty of your poetic rhyme
I was soothed by you time after time

I miss the sound of your mighty roar
When you would come rushing to the shores

I miss comuning with God above the rocks
I loved it enough to forget about the clock

I often walked tall across your sea wall
I was always delighted when ever you called
