Dear One
I will always love you, dear one.
So constant, the solid rock in the storm,
patient through every emotional trial.
These dreams in my heart, hopes
for a future of us together, one day.
I'm so thankful for you, my friend,
never leaving, constant dear companion.
Yet times will be changing soon,
and I must travel across the sea.
This change, will it change everything?
I will miss you dearly but will you?
You, Love, might fall in love without me,
find your hearts' desire in another,
not one that is myself, this little mess.
Yet if it must be so, it is well.
I love you and want you to be happy,
and I do not know the future.
The time we've had, the lovely laughter,
let these treasures rest in my heart.
I love you.
