Dear Old Grandma

Everyday having you on earth is a blessing
A blessing not just for me but for the whole family
Cause when I trace my roots, you the spring
The spring that has watered our family & that's why it's grown

It's through you that my dad came to this world
And my uncles and my aunt too
And in this same world that you brought dad
You the one whose prayers have delivered us too

Cause your grandson sleeps without prayer
But things in my life are still going on well
Cause there is power in prayer
And since you always thinking about us all is well

I've not spent many years beside you
Hearing all about your life
But God knows how much I treasure you
I'd want you to still be my grandma even in the next life

I've seen how you filled with joy during holidays
When all your grandkids and kids gather
How I always long for those days
When we all gathered together

And if God keeps you long enough to enjoy my fruits
I'd pluck all the fruits on my tree and give them to you
For without you there won't have been any fruits at all
That's why I'm eternally grateful to you
