Dear Mr Ray.
Dedicated to Savon Rivera and Ray Rivera
Dear Mr. Ray
Was it you Mr. Ray
Did you tell me I my sleep
Was the voice I heard afar?
Your sweet echo so I plead
I really hope it’s yours I heard
Because no one knows you like I do
All the stories I was told
I believe you can go through
She deserves to live a life
Where the ocean greets her feet
And the flowers fall on her
And her body, praised by beasts
Where no worries seem to come
And no stress to make a well
My dear Mr. Ray …..Please
Don’t let your daughter go to jail
For her days have come to quick
And her nights have come to slow
Lay her body down to rest and stop her tearless, endless flow
For there no on else here
To take care of this little girl
So she grew into a fear
Feared by black and green and gold
No one tries to get to know her
But I left their road and learned
Every speck and glow about her
And accomplished my own goal
So I thank you Mr. Ray
For the creation you have made
Bringing smiles to the world
With the light you have bestowed.
