Dear Mr Jesus

Dear Mr Jesus
I thought I’d write to you
You see there is this problem
And I wasn’t sure what to do.

There are madmen with weapons
Wrecking the whole place
It seems they’re drunk on power
And I’m worried for the human race.

They’re killing lots of people
Far too many to count
What they’re doing isn’t what you taught
In the Sermon on the Mount.

Sorry to be bothering you
It really wasn’t my intention
But things are getting serious
And we need some divine intervention.

I loved this! It has a childlike simplicity that adds a quiet weight to this huge message and plea for a hope of peace. Thank you for posting it.

I'm very glad you liked this piece/peace, Rachel. As a species, we haven't really progressed very far over thousands of years - we've just gotten better at killing each other! As the Beatles said, all you need is love. Cheers, Paul.
