Dear Minority
Today I decided to write you a letter.
Honey I know that life is hard, and sadly it won't get better.
The world is not a friendly place
Some people will dislike you because of the melanin dancing on your face.
They will call you names, and I know that it hurts.
But no matter what they tell you, always know your worth.
Because statistics don't make you,
So please don't let the words of envious people break you.
Dear Minority you are wise beyond your years.
Such a beautiful soul, that has cried too many tears.
It's okay for you to be happy, and make your dreams come true.
You deserve to do and be more than what's expected of you.
People can be insufferable, but don't let them change you.
Because when victory is yours, they will remember all the pain they caused you.
Dear Minority you don't have to be lonely when you're alone
Look at it as a time to advance, a time to grow
Because self education is the key
To understanding who you are, and molding you into who you are going to be.
