Dear Madre

Dear Madre
Hello for the first time I say to my mom,
As I am lying down in the hospital bed,
Telling her everything well be ok,
She drops a tear as I sign the song she
once sang to me,
Telling me she is sorry for leaving me,
She knows I don't have a lot of time,
So she say's something to me so I can go
in peace,
"Baby don't hate me for leaving you,
Don't love me either,
Don't think anything-just look in your
heart,
Keep me there in till I'm up there,
To hug you for the times I never did"
I smile at her tell her to get closer,
I give her a kiss in the cheek,
As I close my eyes she's the last person I
see.
