Dear Lord

From somewhere 'out there',
It appears that ignorance has landed
on our dear planet and is now building
new foundations of greed, injustice, and revenge.

This ignorance is creating divisions and differences.
OUR DIFFERENCES ARE LIKE PIECES IN A PUZZLE CALLED LIFE.
Unfortunately, it is a life fragmented and pulled apart.

Common sense has taken flight and is now soaring like an
eagle. Both accountability and sustainability have far less merit,
rendering us oblivious to consequences. This year, 2024, I pray
that you will grant us wisdom so that we may resolve our differences.

I pray for the doom of ignorance and for true justice
to come and reign supreme. I pray for the expeditious
return of common sense and accountability.  I pray that
you will grant us wisdom so that we may gather at the table
of love and respect so that we may resolve our many differences.

And O Lord, may you forgive us of our arrogance,
and shine a new light upon the dark pathways that
we have chosen and are so dangerously treading.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
