Dear Heart of Mine
Dear heart of mine, what treasure is thy day
What lucky streak will capture me, and say
How wonderful to know you came my way.
What measure is the gift of life you bring
What pleasure is the shift of March to Spring
When love is all and all is everything.
What resonance of love is not for rhyme
What freckled lights above are not sublime
To prove the moon and stars at twilight time.
The mystery of love becomes thy heart
The precious gift of life is just a start
To win the day with love and then depart
When Winter calls and frost is on the lawn
When lonely ones are lost but life goes on
The glory of our love is like the dawn.
Together we are more than just a link
Together life is longer than a blink
Together love is stronger than we think.
