Dear Heart
My Dear Heart,
There's a bridge from your heart to sunny shores
It spanned a thousand mythical miles
But for some reason, you closed all the doors
And took that walk down the lonely aisles
Nobody knows of your existence
Of a tree that has no branches or nest
Because frankly, you like keeping your distance
And allowing your heart to beat wildly in your chest
That bridge beckoned you for sixty years
And til this day it still stands in mint shape
For you rebelled from your loved ones and dears
Allowing your heart to conspire with your escape
That first step will be a foregone conclusion
You will leave this world a thousand miles away
From the sunny shores amid your seclusion
And then ... your dear heart will rise and ballet
