Dear God A Prayer
Father in heaven please hear me
I call in the name of Christ.
See your blood and not my sins
Please change my way of life.
Father I ask your mercy
And your patience, I'm only clay.
May your spirit guide me,
And lead me as I pray.
Remind me that my breath is borrowed,
Each one I must return.
Humble my prideful nature,
Soften my speech when stern.
Encourage me to love my neighbor.
To give to him, as you've given to me.
To bare my share of burdens,
To deal honestly.
Make me like a child,
Innocent and meek.
Allow you to fight my battles,
As I turn the other cheek.
May no man fall beneath my judgement..
I have no room to boast.
For I am nothing more than dust,
Save I have your ghost.
May I always endeavor
To glorify your Holy name.
To be an example to others,
So they can do the same.
May you strengthen my faith,
To keep me from turning back.
Bless me Father, and grant me...
Anything I lack.
