Dear Father
DEAR FATHER
Proverbs 4:1 Listen, children, to a father’s instruction, and pay attention so that you may gain discernment.
He also taught me to get wisdom, understanding and keep it,
By so doing I then discovered something from the treasure
That whosoever keeps the wisdom, the word is walking in love
Not just love but the love of God, sent from above
Sometimes I can just pause I wonder
Not just to wonder but to think
Think about the great things that took place before my time
Before my time were your times in place
When you were running your race passing the baton
The baton from the forefathers passed unto us
How diligently and determined you ran
So we shouldn’t complete your journey
But we run our part of the race
To pass it to the baton to the next generation
Every time when I am with you I am filled with joy
Every time I am with you I am celebrating
Because I know I am not with just a father
But I am with a champion, a legend
Every time we are together I am learning something new
For in the beginning you planted in me a seed
A mustard seed to be patient with an open ear
That eventually grew into a sensitive ear
Every time I see you I say in my heart
I am proud to be your son
And I will be so honored to pass on the wisdom
To the next generation
Good morning
