Dear Father

We never get the chance to say goodbye
Not even our regular high five's
Like a vanishing star or a wisp of smoke
You took your lonely flight to your eternal home
As if a reverie a constant nightmare
I lost the only person I call home

If my tears of sorrow could bring you home
If would've seize you from the grasp of death
Keep your body from getting cold
Or even make me whole

Wandering in solitude I seek for a resolve
For peace and fortitude strong enough to
steer  my lost soul and resurrect my heart
Buried 6feet under pain

For in that heart you've carved yourself
a place, full of love and memories that
Will never fade
