Dear Father
Dear Father, I love you,
If only I was more like you,
I pray before I grow old,
That I may walk closer to you.
Dear Father, I need you,
In my life every day,
Without you in my heart,
Can never be.
Dear Father, I always leave you,
I wander in my weakness,
Even though I know,
You want to be close to me.
Dear Father, I thank you,
For your gentle Mercy,
Calling me ever home,
Where I should always be.
Dear Father, I love you,
And everything you are,
I want to show you,
Everything you want me to be.
