Dear Daughters
I hope that you dance
When given the chance
I pray that you feel
What's intense, raw and real
Be engulfed in flames
That will withstand the rains
Be on fire for God
Don't fear being odd
When you eat, I want you to taste it
When you dream, I want you to chase it
Don't allow yourself to be drawn
By the pull of what's fond
With your roots planted firm
Don't wiggle or squirm
Don't quit reaching high
Until you conquer the sky
Don't be a girl that's easy
Please trust and believe me
Imagination is far better
Be a real go getter
Use your five senses
When building your fences
Hunger for more
Of what's in store
Don't just talk about it
Decide you can't live without it
Do whatever it takes
To make the world shake
Leave your mark
On a piece of bark
Sing along
To your favorite song
Take a stand
Lend a helping hand
Give benefit of doubt
Despite what about
Guard your heart
Be a work of art
Keep them guessing
Reap your blessings
Take deep breaths of autumn air
Wherever your at, be somewhere
Adorn your slice
Present yourself nice
Be blunt and bold
Watch your dreams unfold
Stay young at heart
Finish from start
Filthy up your halo
Embracing the snow
Don't label yourself
By circumstances or wealth
Think of tomorrow
Every time you borrow
But don't live in fear
Of that, you can't hear
Enjoy the moment
Or you'll never own it
For, tomorrow will become today
Not a moment can stay
