Dear Dad

I thought of you today
I thought that I missed you
I began writing you a letter.

Filled with hurtful words then I realised
I didn't have your address
I didn't know your number.

I paused awhile dropped a tear
And continued writing the letter
I wanted you to feel my pain
To utter my name.

To take some blame
But then I notice that you have no shame
As you believe that your departure
Caused my sister and I no pain
Dear Dad, do you even remember our name.
