Dear, Dad
I am a burden to your soul
against my love, I want to let you go
I make you hurt with my own pain
I make you cry with my own tears
I make you weak with my recovery
but you take my hand, say it's okay.
Sorry my burden is your misery
against my tears, I close my eyes tightly
my heart keeps repeating that day
my memories take me to that place again
I endlessly told myself today
this burden wasn't meant for you dad.
