Dear Cousin,
You gave away everything.
You did, didn’t you?
You didn’t choose, you had to.
Beaten, broken, smashed, thrashed.
Mind and body, even soul.
They took your name, I never got it.
Did you even have one?
Were you even real?
Six million is too large to know.
The loved ones I’ve had have been enough.
I never missed you.
I never even thought to ask for you.
After all, where were you?
You left.
Gone.
Gone. Before I even knew you.
Gone before you could know me.
I’m older now, I found my soul.
But now my mind longs for you.
You could’ve changed the world.
Would’ve changed My world.
You never had a voice.
Speak through me.
Say things I long to hear.
Guide me.
Remind me.
Walk beside me.
I’ll speak for you.
I’ll love for you.
I’ll laugh for you.
I’ll remember you.
Now and Always.
