Dear Carpet On the Floor

Dear carpet,
I really admire you.

From the hellish flames
Of stinky toes
And shoes, and paws,
And the cat’s dirty claws
You look up and gather
The pieces of life

Good or bad
You don’t care
Either way,
You’ll keep it there

But now I’m burdened
With the tormenting task
Of erasing those memories
And cleaning you up

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
