Dealing with Coyotes

What do you do if there's a coyote in your yard?
That's an excellent question and the answer's not hard.
Though his visit may have been unplanned,
smile, introduce yourself, and shake his hand.

What a delightfully cheeky little animal rhyme. The crisp four-line quatrain, easy end-rhyme, and conversational rhythm make it instantly memorable, while the absurdly courteous image of shaking a coyote’s hand lands as a charming comic surprise.
