Deal Killer

Your voice is a shriller since you shattered the pillar
The one that held our foundation so strong
Your words just meant nothing, you must've been bluffing
There was never a deal all along

We used to sing in harmony
A spotlight for you- and one for me
And I was promised you'd be there forever
Oh I was so dumb to believe such a bum!
I should've seen it when we were together

Yet you shook my hand and promised to stand
Next to me if something went wrong
Deal Killer, Deal Killer!
How could you shatter that pillar?
The one that held us up- so strong
-Deal Killer, Deal Killer! Your voice is now a shriller
Oh, there was never a deal all along
