Notes About The Poem

Deafening Silence

It was Father's Day Sunday ~
We knew it might be his last.
Still the phone never rang.
Did our best to hide the hurt.

oh, brought tears to my eyes. I lost my favorite uncle on Thanksgiving day...that was hard.
