Deadly Premonition

The reaper stops by
Knowing my fate
Knowing the end

Out of the corner of my eye
I spot him
I know what’s to come

I feel a wave of terror wash over
It can’t be my time
My time to die

He touches my shoulder
And I feel it
The cold taking over

A sudden vision
I see it
All of it

My life
It’s flashing
Yes, right before my darkening eyes

Then I see it
What had happened.
My death stares back at me

The mirror
It shows my life
It shows my death

I awaken
Drenched in sweat
Relieved it was only a dream

A dream?
A premonition?
What was to happen next?
