Deadly Consent

Leading me to the cemetery
In which you reside
Descending further into your abyss
Than I could have ever imagined
If only Father time could take me back
Erasing your memory
Mending the scars
Imprinted on my soul
Leaving one less conquest
For you to covet like a trophy
Squashing your egocentric motives
Before you rob me of myself again

Striking a deal with Legion
Freely walking into the darkness
In which you thrive in
And slowly die in
Dysfunctional manipulation
Redundant ramblings
Your Modus Operandi
For battering my soul
Twisting reality
Lying to your conscience
Masquerading as a human
Keeping up appearances
Pretending to be anything
But, the diabolical monster
That lives to suffocate
The innocence of love

A game of charades
Creating an illusion
To comfort you
From the haunting truth

That you've been running from
Choosing to rescue you
From your self destructiveness
Rather than using my ammunition
To annihilate your very existence
Consenting to my death
Consigned there by only you
