Deadly

The alley,
Dark at day.
I tried to find a safer way,
for I knew that
death, hiding there,
was waiting for me to die.
“Oh most evil of all things,
just accept my lively goodbye!”
I yelled to the devil ahead
“Run!” I hear someone cry.
But that was the last thing
I ever heard while alive.
