Dead Snake In the Road
Your broken body
strewn in pieces
up, down the road
reminds me the enemy
cannot win in the end.
You were just an innocent
one who lived in a garden
though your shiny black scales
would make one think otherwise
since snakes symbolize evil.
I feel sorry for you.
