Dead Poet Society

Is it painful to convey your art,
or is it artful to convey your pain?

Does the torment carry the weight of a thousand suns,
when the love of words slowly but surely drains?

As the heart is healed the poetry departs.
Poets' pens left straining in their hands.

But it's ok, in Love we are all One.
Let's melt into the heavens and flee this barren land.

I especially like the fourth line especially. Words and understanding of words and speaking of words is one way that God made man special so to have the love of words slowly drain would be terrible. Keep the creative pen flowing. Thanks for the comments on my poem about the duct tape. No one was hurt and everything turned out alright. It was a rural church and the roads were not busy at that time of night. It was just a memory from way back that I thought that I would pen. Sara

This is so beautiful. Ive read it reapeatidly. I Love it Yoni =] And thank you for the comments on my brothers poetry. I will let him know what you said. I believe that person that you abandoned him, may be his real father, who is currently in jail again, and once hurt him badly. Again thank you, love and peace. Rain

This is.....poignant, cutting right into the soul....and existential! I had to think on this one; read it more than once. Best wishes, Sara

My goodness, what a brilliant perspective, Yoni! Writing is not only an outlet, but a way to drain our emotions as well. And that last line is truer than most of us would care to admit. Now shed the intensity and go to your happy place as your big day approaches. Perhaps you could write something special to share with Vera on New Year's Day as you begin your life together. Wishing you love and happiness always, Carolyn

True, true, I must agree. A pound of pain for an ounce of beauty.

A painful expression, in the wisdom of words, but as the mind repents, the pain is purged. Smile. Sincerely, Moses
