Dead Memories
We stole those nights together
We ate fruit from the forbidden tree
The stars we owned and played with
Our broken world would never let us be.
We heard the night owls calling
We saw moon light fade over the trees.
We stood upon those Berlin walls.
We saw our friends and comrades final thoughts.
Broken people alive with broken souls.
Seventy years ago this happened.
So, how can this be?
At twenty years old I now see you standing
here, right here in front of me..
I recognise a soul lost to a distant time.
Dead memories carving through my mind…
…as I see you and you see me.
