Dead Man at the Door

If there's a dead man
At the door of your heart,
Calling out to your head
To strike a deal in exchange
For a lock, to stop a barrage
Of flowing time, time to stop.

If the dead man at your door
Still commands your master;
If the dead man still shouts
a free man, awake you should be,
For dead men do not talk.
Eyes wide you should be,
A good trait from a dead man.

If there's a dead man at your door
Blocking your doorway,
Wherever should your door lead,
Be it hills, brooks, or cliffs,
Push the dead man away.
The dead man is you.
