Daytime Torture
The keys stood here before me
Are mocking me in silence
Their little letters and numbers
Shouting their altiloquence
Stuck in this fluorescent cube
Sickening slowly by the hour
Repetitive hand movements
That take away my power
Hidden from the sun by day
Going out only by night
Missing the birds and bees
That are kept from my sight
Such and acceptable torture
Accepted far and wide
Slowly killing the masses
Slowly taking our pride
Its time to break free again
Knock down these plaster walls
Take back our sunshine days
These tortures must fall
