Dayspring Moon

Dayspring Moon Mischievous moon sneaks into dawning’s sight Coquettish smile winks at dawn in delight Playful like a child who fights sleep at night Morning games, hide and seek...dayspring flush, rising pique - Daylight with argent streaks...light in soft moon mystique - Elfish clown blows a kiss as day begins Impish moon flirts at dawn with saucy grins Moonstruck sunrise, before the sun cuts in, Tow-head minx riding high...morningtide's azure sighs - Full moon in the day sky...gibbous dance gone awry - Pearly pixie wears a smile, laughing light, A sly smirk on her alabaster cheeks, Yawns then slinks away as the deep blue spins, Lunar prank reflects her spry sun ally.

Thank you so much Paige. Have to admit understanding the form was a challenge but, after several emails with Suzette, seemed to have hit my stride and ended up enjoying the challenge! Looking forward to trying my hand at a Suzette Prime sonnet again. Blessings to you and your pen!!

Don't tempt me, Sam. I might include the meter and the pivots (instead of the hack neighed "volta") next. hiehiehie (evil laugh). But like I said to Andrea on my poem, An Ode to Ears and Eyes, if I should run a contest again featuring rhyme, please have me declared legally insane. I enjoyed your mischievous entry :)

Hi Suzette! What fun this contest was! I so appreciate your tutelage and patience with me! I love the result. Thank you for your generous placement and for your sponsorship of this contest. Now that I have a mild grasp of this poetic form, I hope you will offer us the opportunity to use it again in another contest! It was fun. Will send you my email address. Hi Pangie! Thank you so much! I have always loved seeing the sun and the moon in the sky together. This contest theme was a great opportunity to write about this phenomenon with a playful tongue in cheek attitude. Hope you are well. Always love hearing from you. Blessings!!
