Days of a Life
In the morning of my life,
I was young, and carefree,
The world was mine to have,
There was no vision, no future, no insight
Images came only in black and white.
In the afternoon of my life,
Marriage, children, my carefree days gone
Career, ambition, I got head strong,
There was a vision, a future so bold,
Images became a burst of color
In the evening of my life,
I retired, children left home,
The world became calm again,
I did not need a vision,
I was looking back to see,
how days of my life used to be.
Images now come in shades of gray
